RevGalsBlogPals needs your help! We’re using Fundly for our first major fundraiser.

RevGalBlogPals offers support, resources and community to clergywomen via our website, Facebook group and Continuing Education events. As we reached the 8 year mark for our webring and blog in 2013, we heard the voices of our members asking for more opportunities to meet in person and an expansion of programming beyond our annual cruise. We could also see more ways to create community online. In order to create more cohesiveness, we needed someone running RevGals as a ministry professional, to minister to the ministers.  We stepped out in faith and called the Rev. Martha Spong as our Director, to manage the website, coordinate our Continuing Education events and function as your Minister on and off Social Media. Up to this point she has been working without a salary. This start-up fundraiser will allow us to pay Martha a stipend and cover our modest operating expenses while we build our base of financial support.

While we are not a church, we are a community of faith, and we are asking for the financial support of our members and readers. Some of you drop in every day for a prayer, or once a week for the Preacher Party, or once in a while for advice or lectionary resources. Some turn primarily to our Facebook group for community and counsel. Some have attended our Big Event. Upcoming ConEd events are scheduled in 2014-15 for Chicago, Boston, Portland and Edinburgh. We’re committed to creating more resources, more education and more community. We’re committed to expanding RevGalBlogPals as a platform for the voices of clergywomen. We make this commitment in the belief that women are called to ordained ministry on behalf of Jesus Christ, and with the confidence that the Holy Spirit, as we like to say, has our backs.

Please consider making a gift to grow the ministry of RevGalBlogPals, and please share the fundraiser link via Facebook, Twitter or your blog.

Your donations are tax-deductible.

We hope you'll join the conversation!
