December 15 God!
10 days to go….

10 days, and a multitude of services, and school productions, and visits, and carol singing, and prayers of the people.
10 days to try to remember we have families, households, loved ones near and far.
10 days to gather strength and gird the loins…
(10 days to get the groceries and post the cards and wrap the gifts (and shop for the gifts) and prepare the table)

And pray that in 10 days we will still have enough energy to encounter the Christ-child and approach in awe the manger.

Keep us strong O God
Give us insight and courage
Show us your light
Let it permeate our very being

Spirit’s breath – breathe on us
Son incarnate – welcome us
Creator parent – hold us

God of all – parent, friend and breath
Stay beside us
Till morning is nigh
