Oh Risen Love,
When we hide in fear and doubt behind locked doors,
You come to us,
You appear to us with deep reassuring peace.
You offer your scarred, sacred hands and body
as a way that we might recognize You.
You breathe upon us your Holy Spirit,
and remind us that you have sent us
to be your forgiveness,
your hope,
your heart in this world.
And when we find ourselves a week later,
still behind doors,
although simply shut,
talking about the miracle of You,
You come again
to those who doubt,
who need to experience You.
Once again, you offer your scarred hands and body,
You show us the Way,
and then you send us on the Way
to be your Peace in this world.
We walk, we stumble, we fall.
You come to us, again and again and again,
Reminding us
That you are with us,
that your Spirit is strength,
and that your Peace passes all understanding.
May we be as patient with ourselves and one another
as You are with us.
We offer this our prayer,
in the hope of the Resurrection,
Amen.
