How sweet is your love, O Eternal Joy — how sweet and how fragrant! More than delicate candies or delicious perfumes, more than honey from the comb or lilacs in full bloom, you delight my senses and arouse my wonder. Let my eyes drink you in forever, and still they will never fully see the breadth of you. Let my tongue sing of you forever, and still it will never capture the intricate harmonies of your love and radiance. Let my heart race at the thought of you, and still it will exhaust itself before it ever returns in praise the abundance of your grace. How sweet — o how exquisitely good — is your love, O Eternal Joy!
