Morning, afternoon, evening…
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday…
Monday.
Monday – here you are again
It seems like no time since last Monday
Our weeks, and days planned out
Lines on a planner
Entries in a diary
Mark our work, our leisure, our quiet times, our creativity (or lack thereof)
God of all the hours
Every moment, every breath
Take my planner – full as it is
And help me to be deliberate, intentional about time for quiet, time for you
Help me to not feel the need to apologise for time out
Not to feel I must justify the quiet times, the prayer times, the essential times to reflect and create.
God of all the hours
Help me to stay here, in Monday – just for a while
And be thankful, ever thankful for each crazy, busy, quiet, planned, impromptu moment.
Amen
