The edges of my heart are trimmed
in the fading traces of saffron, wild rose, and ashy indigo.
This quiet hopelight declines into
an ashen somberland of muddled passion and dull frustration of unknown identity.
It’s just everything and nothing.
It’s privilege and despair.
It’s lethargy tinged with fear.
It’s not knowing what exactly is next, it’s questioning and doubting and wondering
where and what and who and how You are leading, but even so, it’s not that defined.
It’s me right now, and I am opening this heart up to You,
Offering it, hoping you will take it,
