For when it feels so important.
Oh. So. Important.
To do it right.
To say it well.
To have the words.
And that perfect presence, too.
To not totally and completely and royally and publicly and epically screw up.
You know, for Jesus…
Help me trust you.
And get out of my own freakin’ head.
Help me to know what to say and do and write and be,
then, make it real clear when I need to get out of your way.
Because I love you.
And I think you’ve got this.
(At least, I’m pretty sure you do.)
Help me to trust that your love, your will, and your way,
Can’t be broken by little ole me,
And my sometimes screwy-upy days.
Remind me that you are in this. That you are on this.
And that your love is bigger, stronger and more important
Than any mess we can make.
Thanks and thanks and thanks again,
Amen.
