I’m away with your pastors this week. Just some of the ones you call to do this work and live this life. And Lord, they are so full of you- your spirit and your sass, your passion and your love, your hope and your very bad jokes. I sit and listen to all the ways they seek you, praise you, and serve you, and I am in awe.
Thank you, God. For all the wise, creative, hilarious, generous, wonderful people you charge with this call. Thank you for the blessing that is serving your church. Thank you for the joy of standing for your love and light.
Rev. Erin Counihan is blessed to serve as pastor at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in St. Louis, MO. When she’s not locked away in the hills for CREDO, she occasionally blogs at http://www.somewhatreverend.wordpress.com.
