Moonrise over Iona © JRen2017

As you rose over Iona last week shedding light May you also shed light on all the world.

Holy God, you bless each of us with precious moments; times of sanctity, hoped for and unbidden;

Precious One – we each find solace in so many different places and situations: peace and calm; hustle and bustle; water and desert; mountain and valley. Each place; each moment; each precious soul is distinct, we can never know it all – yet. you, you know it all – all the places; all the moments; all the  souls.

Precious Holy – hear us all. Each one in her place; each one with different cries; yet one voice.

Holy One – hear us! Hear our prayers! Hear the cries of our hearts – in supplication; in thanksgiving; in hope; in desperation – whatever the cry, hear us, and grant us the comfort of knowing, we are not alone. today and always. Amen.
