Driving Lessons
Driving Lessons

Dear Lord,

Forgive my lack of  wisdom and the way I can’t seem to follow your instructions.
I insist on getting lost, and, I seem to like it that way.
You offer gentle guidance and I drive away with no sense of direction.
You tell me to ‘take it easy” and I end up with blisters on every toe.
You welcome me into your arms in a sweet embrace, and then guide me back into Real Life, helping me nail that parking test.
I pretend that I can do this on my own JUST FINE.
But I really do need You.
You ARE the Way…
Amen.
