Creating God, we delight in knowing that we all

are made in your image,

with all of our skin colors and cultures, the diversity of our lives and the limits of our labels,

but can it be that the wise and the silly alike are crafted in your image?

The cranky along with the serene?

The angry as well as the peaceful?

The hungry, the lost and the confused, too?

Does that mean that you, too, are cranky, hungry and bewildered?

Angry?  In pain?

If so, loving God, our pain joins with yours this day,

and our hurts find their home in yours,

as our spirits join yours laboring for a better world.  Amen.

  1. I am a chaplain for a home for men with special needs in Georgia, and was recently ordained by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I am so happy to find RevGalBlogPals, and will be keeping up with my fellow female pastors. Blessings, Lee Hollingshed
