In these moments, our hearts and minds are tuned to your Spirit,
us to peel back the layers of surfaces
that keep us from
Peeling back all that protects us,
even our fears
to expose the bare tender skin of vulnerability
is uncomfortable and maybe even painful.
Help us, God.
Because we know that your Truth will free us
from that which binds us.
And there is so much that binds us.
We know we need forgiveness, in more ways that we can count.
We know we need to forgive, in more things that we can number.
Humble us, God.
We pray this prayer for ourselves,
and for this community.
And, as we pray, we continue to remember
the sick and sad and suffering ones,
the lonely and abandoned and at-risk ones,
We continue pray for those whose lives been shattered
by hurricanes and wildfires and earthquakes and warring nations.
We pray for your Creation, for all living and sentient beings.
We pray this prayer, for Love’s sake,
