God,
on my commute today,
in the worst traffic circle in the world,
where drivers and pedestrians risk the lives of one another
to get wherever they are going
in the fastest way in bumper to bumper rush hour frenzy,
a woman
standing on the sliver of median
held a cardboard box poster high
that said,
“Love makes a world of difference.”
was she your traffic angel, God?
why did she choose this random Wednesday morning
to remind frazzled commuters
about Love?
did it make a difference to anyone?
my prayer is that I hope so,
I hope that some of us were reminded to step out of our monkey minds and
choose moments to Love,
to make a difference,
in someone’s world.
amen.
