You lead me by quiet waters.
I want the waters to be still. I’d like a full stop. A hard pass on decisions, choices, and concrete actions, just for one day. Can’t the waters be quiet and still?
Yet, still water becomes stagnant. It is on when there is a steady flow, however slowly, from a spring or other source that the water remains quiet and healthy.
Quiet me for the steady move of the Spirit. Steady me for the changes of the day.
Keep me from complacency, stagnancy, and complicity.
Lead me to quiet waters and let me rest in you.
