God-
You and I both know that I am over-packer. Three pairs of pants when one would be fine. More underwear than necessary because who, but You, knows what might happen. Several books, craft projects, and two journals because I always end up with extra free time… except that I don’t.
It seems likely that I am over-packing my cares and worries as well. Throwing in a few more situations that are completely out of my control… pursuing additional information that is not useful if I actually stay in my lane… dreaming about resurrections instead of working out salvations, even with a little fear and trembling.
Guide me through the Holy Spirit into streamlining my emotional and spiritual baggage. Lead me into the generosity of simplicity and expansiveness of honesty about what is mine to do and what is not. Hear my prayer and encourage me in the narrow path of joy and peace.
Amen.

A wonderfully helpful prayer for me right now.
