Tear open the heavens.
Shake this dry land.
Upset the waters.
Crumble the hills.
Burst forth with your winds.
Light some fires and make our hearts to boil.
Because we need your interruption.
We need your flare.
We need your awakening.
For we have become a mess.
(we’ve been a mess a long while now)
And maybe only your kind of holy chaos will reach us.
So mess us up.
Rip it all open.
Pour us all out.
Tear it all apart.
And create something new.
Re-form us. Re-imagine us. Re-mold us.
Come down here. And rework this all.
With your holy hands.
(Inspired by Isaiah 64:1-9)
