We come to you this morning,
Your shivering and sweating people,
Seeking your presence
Among us and around us.
We follow moons and stars and suns and hopes and dreams
to find You.
We look for doves from heaven and manna on the ground
to discover You.
We trudge through snow sodden sidewalks
to hear You.
We meditatively walk with sand stuck between our toes
to sense You.
We dive into baptismal oceans
to bump into you.
We rest on city park benches
to encounter you.
The invitation is “Come and See”
and so we do. We try to.
We tell others, “Come and See”
because we want to share
All that is You
in this big, confusing, amazing world
in which we follow You.
In the name of all that is holy,
