I cried out to The Divine…
“Another School shooting, Lord?
Another massacre?

We are Shattered.
Broken.
Destroyed.
Our sense of security,
Our mindless wandering from day to day
Has been disrupted.
We weep and rage,
We cry out, “How long, Oh Lord?”

And She says…

“Until you rise up,
Child of mine,
And bring your voice of Reason
And Hope
And Justice
Into the conversation.
Until you practice awareness
And mercy
And peace.”

Lord,
I feel inadequate.
This is a God-sized task.

And She said…

“Amen!
I thought you’d never ask.”
