We begin again on this day, in a world that rages and roils. In the midst of turmoil and strife we reach to you for grounding. Bear us up on the strength of your love, the power of your mercy, and the fullness of your deep well of compassion. Temper the heat of our reactions with the cooling breath of your Spirit, and guide us toward right action, expansive hearts, and courageous souls.
Embolden us to speak your truth and love beyond expectation. Remind us that your presence abides, accompanying our hopes and tending our fears. In all things, kindle within us the shattering brilliance of your light, that we may radiate it to the broken, the lost, the angry, and the weary. May we be your prisms amidst the seismic wrenching of these days, a beacon to all in need.
