Gracious You,
Wild Presence,
Buddy and Pal,

Remind me.
It’s not too late.
It won’t be like this always.
We ARE changing.
You ARE changing us. (Again.)

New voices, young leaders, fresh plans.
Angry grannies, bold writers, committed organizers.
The artist, the neighbor, some pastor, that kid.
We will take action.
You are inspiring us.

Remind us.
You’re still at work.
Amazing.
Encouraging.
Whipping.

Upsetting our calm.
Reclaiming our courage.
Renewing our understanding.
Calling us to action. (Again.)

Remind me.
You’re not done.
Remind me.
You’re right here.
Remind me.
I’m a part of a thing still being created.
(I’m a part of what you are creating.)

So, for tonight, grant us rest.
But tomorrow, wake our souls.
Tremble the nations.
Shake the freakin’ church.
Stir something in us.

For you.
For love.
For all.

Amen.
