Lead us, Shepherd, gently lead us, through the valleys and o’er the hills of this day.
Help us place our feet carefully on the path of our intentions.
Keep us mindful of the opportunities that get strewn across our paths during the rest of night.
Alert us to the beauty and joy that might be missed while we’re busy focusing on other things.
Draw our attention outwardly through birdcalls and unexpected vistas, brightly dressed fashionistas, and the ten-year old engrossed in a book.
Lift our hearts to the song of the Spirit whose tenderness lights like a butterfly, and whose mercy buoys otherwise heavy footfalls.
Lead us, gently lead us toward the overflowing well that is grace, that is beauty, that is you.
