Spirit of God, who hovered over creation
And brought forth life from stagnancy,
You gave birth to the airs of the world
And the breath within our lungs.
Remind us to continue to breathe when the fevers of life rise
And the chills of grief descend upon us.
May each deep inhalation drag down anxiety,
And may each exhalation remove sadness from our hearts.
As life gets busy and the stresses take the place of relaxation,
May we dedicate time to find the breezes of peace.
Amen.
