God of remembrance, we call to mind today those whom we have prayed for, and forgotten for a time.
For the kidnapped young women of Nigeria, as they cook a meal, or suffer through more abuse, tend a child, or think of home, make your protection and peace abundant.
For those seeking food, or a doctor, or a glimpse of peace in the rubble of Syrian cities, come in power and consolation.
For the war veteran who carries injuries in body or mind, ease today’s burdens.
For those in Korea, long separated from loved ones on the other side of the divide, bring the day of reunion closer.
For all those our eyes will travel over today, wrap them in your all-seeing grace.
Forgive us our forgetfulness. We trust in your love, knowing that you seek justice even when we slumber.
You who remember all that we overlook, we bring our prayers to you. Amen.
