Spirit of Intervention,
I am begging you from my knees,
With sighs and groans that only you hear,
I scream, sob, rage.
There are children missing.
Children ripped from their parents.
Citizens stripped of voice.
People deafened from explosions.
Women and others forced to submit their bodies to government control.
Pride, like a lion, roars and doesn’t let peace rest in homes or streets.
I cannot stand for this.
I will not sit for it.
I want to take a knee, calling your attention to our need for jubilee,
Freedom,
Release,
Justice,
Healing.
May a way, Lord, make a way.
All we have comes from you, but not all that happens is of your will.
Make a way, Lord, make a way
For the jubilee we need, You know we need.
Make a way.
Amen.
