Holding the earthGood morning, friend!

Praying that we all put our arms around the Earth today. The Earth and those who dwell therein.

So much violence, in volcanic eruptions, in the murders of demonstrators.

Violence to families, fleeing impossible situations for better lives.

So many need peace. Same-sex families. Non-gender conforming folks. Victims of domestic violence.

We pray for churches where we do not love one another well; where we do violence to the name of Jesus.

My friend, many days we despair. Yet you are good and gracious. We extend our arms. We make our hands your hands in the world. We take the steps you would take.
