We lift up our hearts,
We lift up our souls,
and we know that all of the earth, and all that is within it
belongs to You.
You are sovereign, You are hope, You are glory.

In spite of all that is and is not,
in all that is imperfect and absurd,
You shine.
You dance on the tip of the horizon
You step stealthy in the depths of caverns.
You are sovereign, You are hope, You are glory.

As we pray for all that is hurting and unjust,
As we grieve for what and who are lost,
As we fear for innocence and decency and kindness,
give us the courage to let go,
and lift up our hearts and souls,
knowing that all of the earth, and all that is within it belongs to You.

May we dance with You,
on the break of day,
in the shadows among the fireflies,
and in the midst of everything that is grotesque and baffling, wondrous and surprising, and all that is in-between.
You are sovereign , You are hope, You are glory.

Amen.
