In this moment
of silence and reflection,
You invite us,
to come away,
Come away to a deserted place and rest awhile.
To rest awhile.
Awhile is just a short time,
not forever,
but just enough to rest and breathe,
regather strength,
renew mercy,
and refire passion.
And so we come away to You in this moment.
Inhabit our souls, Holy One.
Fill our minds with your Love.
Charge our hearts with your Kindness.
(Take a long silence here. Spirit will move in and around you, whether you have monkey mind or not. Thank goodness.)
For the sake of all that is holy and not, we pray this prayer.
Amen.
