In the midst of all my supplicating
and lamenting  and ascribing,
I realize that I have forgotten
to mention very much
how much I need You, Holy One.
I mean, it’s probably pretty obvious how much I need you, because You walk with me everyday, and I know it’s not always pretty.

Still, I am so grateful for your strong, still, Presence that surrounds.
I am thankful for your Word that comes unbidden and blessed in so many ways.
I am humbled by your Love, which assures.
I am relieved, by your Rest, which enfolds.
