God who fills our arteries with bravery…
Open our hearts to the words
Which have made people of faith reach upward with their souls:
Be strong and courageous!
Joshua heard these words
As many of us embrace these words here and now.
Today, we’ve been strong and courageous-
From spending our energies voting
To confronting bullies
To standing up to oppressive systems.
When courage and strength are invited on our journeys
Our siblings across this world have basic needs,
Our mental health improves,
And we have our say.
Divine Nerve, stir us this day to deliver justice and carry righteousness
In your large cities and small towns,
In front of skyscrapers and in the midst of cornfields,
Facing mountains and overlooking canyons,
From ocean to ocean, river to lake.
May your light bring hope to all of your children.
