View from the steeple at Old North Church UCC in Marblehead, MA

Holy One,
In water splashed,
in bread broken,
your Mystery is so much more than we can ask or imagine.

In kindness given,
in help offered,
in stories shared,
in beginnings and endings, and goodbyes,
your Mystery is so much more than we can ask or imagine.

When we seek to live with more integrity,
When we work to love with more humility,
When we struggle to listen with more mercy,
your Mystery is so much more than we can ask or imagine.

When we fail miserably,
When we judge selfishly,
When we refuse harshly,
When we betray all that we believe in,
may your Mystery forgive us and transform us,
in so many ways more than we can ask or imagine.

In the living of these days,
may we be open to the breadth and length,
the heighth and depth of the power of You,
working in each of us and in all of us, together,
To You be the Glory, forever and ever,

Amen.

Today is Rev. Karla Miller’s last Sunday as  Minster of Community Life at Old North Church UCC in Marblehead, MA.  She is beyond grateful to have spent the past five years in ministry with these good and faithful and funny people on the beautiful North Shore of Boston.
