Dear God,
I’m cramming every hallelujah I can into the next 48 hours.
When I put the words of joyous praise away on Sunday, when my vocabulary is transfigured, I want to feel that I gave all the alleluias I had.
But it’s not like you won’t be worthy of praise in the next six week. You will be the same. Your love will still spread and resurrect, even when we put away celebration words.
Help me to bear and birth new vocabulary.
Strengthen my words of gratitude, awe, and intercession.
Grow my ability to listen.
I want to be ready for a fuller praise at the resurrection of my alleluias and my Easter joy.
Amen.

You’re in Big Timber?! I serve the UCC in Columbus. The local Lutherans hold a text study on Wednesdays and it will be at St James ELCA in Columbus during March. Are you part of the group? Would love to find time to connect.

Yep! I’ll be there in Wednesday! We can play a game of “it’s a small world after all”.
