O God, my God, I am reaching for you.
I am reaching and screaming and searching.
With tired eyes, and aching arms, and completely wrecked knees.
I walk and search,
I work and search,
I read and search,
I serve and search,
I try and do every bit of every thing in every place where I am supposed to look and find you.

My throat is sore and my tears are all spent.
And I am famished.

Because I need you.
(Because I still hope in you.)

So today as I search, and work, and listen, and learn, and try, and struggle, and seek…

Find me.
Notice me.
Scream back at me.

Because your steadfast love is better than life

And this weary body will rejoice.
In your love.
In your hope.
In your presence.

And I will cling to you as you hold on to me.
And, well, can you imagine our joy?

Because your steadfast love is better than life

Amen.
