God who welcomes us home,
God who is our home,

Thank you for the home we share on this planet.
Thank you for our home communities,
For our church homes,
For the buildings in which we live and work.
Thank you for those spaces where our hearts feel at home.

Guide us in the holy work of clearing space,
Of making home,
Of welcoming home
Those who feel lost and alone,
Those who fear they will never be welcomed home,
Never be celebrated,
Or honored,
Or loved.

Guide us in the holy work of making space,
Of recognizing home,
Of going home
When we feel lost and alone.
When we fear we will never be welcomed
Or celebrated,
Or honored,
Or loved,
Let us look up to see you,
Running toward us with open arms.

Amen.
