“I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish”
Jeremiah 31: 25

For the weary, we pray:

For those who have waited, and hoped and watched
but for whom the better day has not yet dawned…
Satisfy the weary, replenish the faint

For those whose bodies are worn by working
and for whom there is always more to do…
Satisfy the weary, replenish the faint

For those whose sleep is disrupted by nightmares
and the fear that visits in the night…
Satisfy the weary, replenish the faint

For those worn down by the fog of depression,
exhausted by the effort of it all…
Satisfy the weary, replenish the faint

You, O God, are rest and peace
Satisfy the weary, replenish the faint,
Amen.
