Installation by The Reverends Brenda Rockell and Clare Barrie in St Mary’s, Parnell, Aotearoa New Zealand.

“Do this to remember me…”

However we do this
with a loaf,
cubes of bread…

However we do the doing
in vestments
our Sunday best
barefoot or high-heeled

Dear God,
help us to remember

not the to-do list
or the thing we forgot to write on the to-do list
or who is doing what when we come to strip the altar
(or whatever might preoccupy us)

help us to remember Jesus
in whose life and death and resurrection
we find our life
and our hope.
