A Prayer Before An Abortion

God Who Sees-

You alone know the fullness of my situation. You remember even better that I do how I came to be here and how I made this decision. Even in my resolve, You know all of my feelings. Concede to me, in your mercy, safe entry and exit from the clinic/office/hospital, staff who excel in their vocation, and a procedure that is complete and without complications. In the event of paperwork, conversation, or demonstration meant to intimidate me, surround me with your compassion and mercy. On this day, I pray for others who have come to this same procedure out of different needs, circumstances, and emotions. In your grace, I ask for the same holy considerations for them in their own hour of need. I lean now on the faithfulness you revealed to Hagar, Michal, and Mary of Magdala and ultimately to all through Jesus Christ. Amen.
