Sweet Alpha, Kind Omega-
For the ones budding in the early stages of life, we give thanks.
And then for the ones nearing the ends of things-
for their last breaths
their warm tears
their last looks around this earth-
with aching hearts, we thank you too.
Prayers are building in our hearts.
Emotions are thrashing about.
Even in moments of gratitude
Our wailing is louder than our praise.
Dear Omega, Tender Alpha,
Care for our hearts left wounded by losses and endings.
