Ah, Holy One,
You are merciful and just in all of your ways,
You teach us about righteousness and love day by day.
You are our Light,
You season the world with hope and grace.
Season our minds and hearts
With the courage of your mercy,
With the strength of your righteousness,
so that we might truly shine your Light into the worlds in which we live daily.
Help us be the flavor of your compassion, and the taste of your compassion.
We know it is not enough to to simply offer our prayers against oppression and injustice, but you call us to seek justice and liberation
You call us to engage actively to banish the shadows of poverty, affliction, war, prejudice and hate.
Move us to pour ourselves out, fully and freely,
for You.
In the name of Jesus our brother and teacher,
Amen.
