As September wanes summer disappears in early morning mists…
As September wanes summer approaches through the dawning of spring shoots and new growth.
It is all a matter of perspective.
As one waves goodbye, another waits excitedly in welcome.
So it is with life and love and faith.
As one thing ends another begins.
Precious Holy – whether we are beginning or ending
leaving or arriving
weeping or laughing
Keep us mindful and aware at all times of the feelings of others
Keep us present in the moment – not racing forward to the new thing without properly finishing the old.
God of all,
be in our hearts and minds
as we move through our place
be in our conversations and encounters
and keep us safe
in transition and in constancy
today and tomorrow
this we pray
