We have gathered here this morning,
With all of who we are,
With all of who we are not,
With all of who we hope to be.
We pray we would be changed
by our worship this morning.
Convict us in our excesses,
Heal us in our broken places,
Move us out of our fear, our cowardice,
into the strength you offer us moment by moment.
Honestly, how is it that we should pray?
We offer our joys and thanksgivings in our hearts, and aloud….(pause)
We offer our prayers for those for whom we are concerned….(pause)
We offer our prayers for this world, for places struck by violence….(pause)
We offer our prayers for all the brokenness we bear witness…(pause)
We offer the prayers we don’t even know to pray…
For Loves sake we pray,
