Clothe yourselves with …kindness… Colossians 3
May I dress this day in kindness:
the kindness of attentive presence,
the kindness of truthful speech,
the kindness of wholehearted listening;
May I dress this day in kindness:
the kindness of a thoughtful gesture,
the kindness of a small favour,
the kindness of responsive action;
May I dress this day in kindness:
the kindness of speaking up,
the kindness of calling in,
the kindness of working for peace and justice;
May I dress this day in kindness:
the kindness of a light footprint on the earth,
the kindness of gentleness with my own body,
the kindness of both doing and resting.
May I dress this day in kindness:
the goodness and loving kindness
of our God
made known in Jesus,
in whose name I pray. Amen.
