Holy One,

Sometimes, life’s hard.
There’s more questions than answers,
More tears than smiles.
The tragedies outweigh the successes.

And then…
Comfort comes
In a hug
Or a smile
Or a heartfelt prayer…
Or a bowl of grits.

And the warmth of your love
Nestles in.
I’m enveloped.
I’ll try again
To walk this uncertain, wobbly, challenging thing called life.

Thank you.

Amen.
