An empty commuter train platform.

Holy One,

There’s nothing I hate more than waiting…
Waiting for news. Waiting for answers. Waiting for direction. Waiting for change. Waiting for a result. Waiting for a birth (or a death).

I seek your guidance. I pray. I listen to wisdom.
There’s not a “yes”…
There’s not a “no”…
There’s not even a gentle “not yet”…
There’s just… nothing!

Lord, I’m tired of waiting!
I know you are with me each step of the way. I know you are as close as my next breath. I know you are “the same, yesterday, today, and forever.” I can say all the right words… but my heart longs for an answer.

Thank you for hearing my honest prayer…
