as my Monday wanes
I am aware that in other places it is hardly begin,
and in others, the next day is dawning.
As this day closes
we thank you that there is always
someone waking and welcoming the new
someone working and seeking your wisdom
someone eating and giving you thanks
someone resting and choosing your peace
whatever the time
and whatever the day
there is one constant
you, our heavenly parent
our Holy Friend,
our Precious companion
we thank you
for every moment
yesterday, today and tomorrow
