grand dayFor those of us who mourn deeply and sometimes in secret this season, grant comfort

For those of us whose history gets forgotten with holiday cheer, grant justice

For those of us who are alone and have been banished from community and table, grant love

We need you, O God.

For those of us who have caused harm, stir up repentance

For those of us who hide behind our privilege and position, stir up discomfort

For those of us unable to see past our own fragility and acknowledge the pain of our siblings, stir up courage

We need you, O God.

We pray with gratitude.

We pray with expectation.

We pray in trust.

Amen.
