On a day when the UK is participating in a General Election, we focus on hope and channel the Song of Mary:

Cast down the mighty O God, send the rich away empty handed, lift up the lowly, fill the hungry.

May we choose wisely – choosing personal discomfort over austerity that afflicts those already struggling with poverty

May our vote be a vote for justice, a vote for equity, a vote for inclusion.

In this Advent season, may we be the agents of love, peace, hope and joy for all

In a world longing for you to be born already may we herald good news for all God’s people.

And, wherever we are in the world, may we shine the light of Emmanuel – God with us.
