In the resting and regrouping,
the breathing out and in,
be with us still, God incarnate;
in the family celebrations delayed,
in the pj day and plates of leftovers,
be with us still, God incarnate;
as the candles are put away,
the orders of service filed with annotations,
in the reviewing and rejigging,
be with us still, God incarnate.
You are the One who enters our humanity,
consoling us in calamity,
companioning us in loneliness,
encouraging us in kindness,
sustaining and challenging and blessing us.
Be with us still, God incarnate
this Christmastide,
and all our days.
Amen.
