Omnipotent God,
Your son left Heaven
and came to earth
to show us what it means
to love.
Then he left Nazareth
and made his home in Capernaum
so that scriptures might be fulfilled.
He called his disciples
to leave their nets
and follow him,
and immediately
they did.
Yet we are reluctant to leave behind
old habits,
our data,
toxic relationships,
worn out beliefs.
Forgive us, God,
Grant us courage to go
immediately
where we are afraid to go.
Lead us into worshipful spaces.
Give us the words to proclaim
the Good News!
Grant us tools for healing
that bring wholeness
to a broken world.
Amen.
