Precious Holy
on this first Monday of Lent
when we may still have strong resolve
or, we may still be *havering about how to honour the season…

on this first Monday of Lent,
when Sunday was overloaded,
and Monday brings quiet respite
or Sabbath,
or just more work…

on this first Monday of Lent
make us more mindful of your holy presence
in the mundane
in the cold
in the sun
in the piles of laundry
or the dust bunnies scrabbling round the living room…

on this First Monday of Lent,
Precious Holy
Bless us
Hold love
Hold Us
Just for today
So be it

*To Haver: to dither; to be indecisive; to change ones mind…
