…this and more …
…has me playing the theme song from “Harriet” on repeat this Wednesday, O God.
And praying, praying, praying…
But I know that this is not enough
So I am asking for energy to keep standing up
I am asking for courage to keep speaking out
I am asking for anger to keep pushing for what is just
I am asking for peace so as not to burnout
I am asking for empathy to keep hurting just enough so as not to become numb
I am asking for deeper love so that I stay connected to my siblings, creation
You
May I live my prayer today, our prayer
For peace, justice, love, freedom
For all your people
ALL.YOUR.CREATION.
Amen.
